According to a Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Washington, US Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign announced on August 19 the launch of a WhatsApp channel to gain the support of Latin American voters ahead of the November elections.

Campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said the WhatsApp channel will launch with bilingual videos and Latino news anchors.

This channel’s content includes daily podcasts, videos, and notes highlighting campaign efforts and combating misinformation.

According to the Maca Casado campaign’s Hispanic communications director, Vice President Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz understand the power of the Latino community and programs like the aforementioned WhatsApp channel are the campaign’s way of reaching voters who will play an important role in the upcoming election in November.

WhatsApp is an important source of information and communication for many Latinos, an important voting bloc in the US presidential election.

This channel is Ms Harris’ latest attempt during the election campaign to reach voters through the media environment.

Ms Harris’ campaign has also used TikTok, social media influencers and other methods to try to connect with voters.

Recently, a poll conducted by Democratic polling firm Equis Research from July 22 to August 7 found Ms Harris leading Mr Trump by 4 points among Latino voters in seven states.
