Barely released, the visuals expressing the idea that the French-speaking liberals were alone once morest everyone in the French-speaking political landscape were taken up by the competition to send a contrary message.

These diversions are reminiscent of the memes that emerged in France when Nicolas Sarkozy launched his “La France Forte” campaign, in 2012. The right-wing candidate, for whom Georges-Louis Bouchez has never hidden his admiration, had unveiled a poster showing him in front of a peaceful sea. This poster had been parodied many times.

It seems that the same phenomenon might occur in Belgium. And we are only at the start of the electoral campaign…
