This Tuesday, the French-speaking liberal party deployed 20 m² posters in 131 locations in Belgium. These cupboards are distinguished from afar by a duplicity of tone which reflects an opposition without nuance. On one side there is the problem (in Wallonia and Brussels, it is clearly the red of the left) and on the other side, the alternative, the liberal blue (“us”).

These messages are displayed in the capital, in the south of the country, but also on the other side of the linguistic border, namely along a few roads, but especially in Antwerp. The MR wants to be particularly offensive in the stronghold of the N-VA, where Bart De Wever officiates. In a gesture that mirrors the announcement by the mayor of Antwerp to present lists in Wallonia, Bouchez’s troops broadcast a Belgian message in the port area.

Objective ? Show that the MR is the natural ally of the N-VA, but also that Wallonia “is not just the left”. This offensive is part of the continuation of the seduction operation started by the president of Mons in Flanders for many months. It will be supported by a cycling support which will spread the message of French-speaking liberals in the city of Flemish nationalists.
