Mr Borrell calls for an extension of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire in the Gaza Strip

This four-day ceasefire is due to end on Tuesday.

“The break should be extended to make it sustainable and long-term, while working toward a political solution,” he said at the start of the Union for the Mediterranean meeting in Barcelona on Monday.
