Mr. Akhannouch insists on the role of trade union centers to raise awareness about the need to complete the vaccination scheme

Rabat – The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, stressed, on Wednesday in Rabat, the importance of the role of trade union centers in raising awareness among the working class about the need to complete the vaccination regimen, in particular the booster dose, for the fight against Covid-19.

The trade union centres are called upon to support the efforts made by sensitizing the working class on the need to complete the vaccination regimen, in particular the third booster dose, Mr. Akhannouch told the press at the end of his meeting with the trade union centres, focused in particular on their role in raising awareness about the need for civil servants and employees to adhere to the completion of the vaccination protocol to preserve the health of citizens and guarantee a return to normal life.

Stressing the unanimity regarding the importance of the vaccination campaign and its role in protecting citizens and accelerating the return to normal life, the Head of Government stressed the imperative of completing the vaccination regimen, especially the booster dose, for a return to all economic activities at a normal pace, with the aim of continuing to promote development and economic recovery.

In this sense, Mr. Akhannouch emphasized the importance of preserving the health and safety of human capital as a central element in the promotion of the development project, expressing his confidence in the success of the awareness-raising operations that will be carried out by the trade union centers.

The meeting was attended by Miloudi Mokhariq, secretary general of the Moroccan Labour Union, Khadija Zoumi, counsellor in charge of mission at the General Union of Workers of Morocco, Khalid Alami Lahouir and Boukhalfa Bouchta, deputy secretaries general of the Democratic Confederation of Labour, Mohamed Zouiten, deputy secretary general of the National Labour Union in Morocco, Abdelhamid Fatihi, secretary general of the Democratic Federation of Labour and Ali Lotfi, secretary general of the Democratic Organization of Work.

This meeting, attended by the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Ait Taleb, the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Labor and Skills, Younes Sekkouri and the Minister delegate in Charge of Relations with Parliament, government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, follows the series of meetings held with the heads of political parties represented in Parliament, the Presidents and members of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, the secretaries general and the directors of human resources of the various ministerial departments and public institutions and representatives of local and regional authorities.
