The Public Ministry (MP) is following up on five complaints that were raised by citizens who claim to have been victims of fraud for the sale of tickets to the two concerts offered last weekend by the Colombian singer Karol G, the prosecutor’s office reported this Monday March 4th.

For five months, when the official announcement of Karol G’s concert in Guatemala was made, thousands of people were waiting for the details of the event and the sale of tickets to the Explanada Cardales de Cayalá, zone 16, to dance and sing. together with “La Bichota” on their Latin American tour “Tomorrow will be nice Latam Tour”.

However, the interest of thousands of Guatemalans in attending one of the two events was also taken advantage of by scammers, who deceived several people with the sale of fake tickets and who noticed the lack of authenticity of their purchase until they reached the entrance. of the event.

This Wednesday, March 4, the MP reported that “so far five complaints related to scams have been filed for the sale and purchase of tickets related to said concert.”

He adds that the facts reported in the complaints refer to different types of fraud and that in one case it is indicated that several people posed as workers from a promoter, to whom “they deposited monetary amounts in exchange for tickets to the concert; However, they never received the same.”

“One case indicates that the tickets purchased were false,” adds the MP.

In addition, there are three other cases where people were scammed through social networks, indicates the Prosecutor’s Office.

He adds that in these cases those affected “deposited amounts of money in exchange for tickets that were never delivered to the victims.”

The Public Ministry did not reveal the amounts of the scams.
