In this regard, he highlighted that in Zulia, Yeissel Pérez (CLEZ Representative) was identified as the instigator of a violent protest that took place at the UE Monseñor Helimenas Añez Voting Center in the Maracaibo municipality, where the violent protesters knocked down a fence and attacked two officials.

In addition, during a television broadcast, the prosecutor said that by last night there had been 60 incidents during the electoral process and 17 arrests.

In this regard, he stated that the most recurrent cases were the destruction of electoral material, with 32 cases.

“This is an extremely small number if we consider that yesterday’s election took place in 15,797 polling stations, with 30,026 voting machines. The fact that there were these minimal incidents speaks well of the Venezuelan voter,” he explained.
