MP from Ziobro claims that “religion is better than other subjects”
On Wednesday, February 14, the “Szkło Contactowe” program published on social media a recording from the Sejm in which Maria Kurowska explains why religion classes are the best school subjects. – Religion is not so much worse, but in my opinion it is even better than other subjects. It prepares us not only to live here on Earth, to be fair to people, to respect people, to love them, to love God. The first two commandments of our Christian religion – because this is what is taught mainly – are, love God and your neighbor. So this is a great upbringing of a person – said the MP from Sovereign Poland.
The recording quickly aroused outrage among many Internet users. “There are worse MPs, but there are also better ones”, “My favorite parliamentary intelligentsia”, “Religion is the BEST, why does anyone need mathematics or, God forbid, physics. Bleee…” – wrote users of the X platform (original spelling of comments – ed. ). One of the commenters also pointed out the MP’s mistake. “The first two commandments mean you shall have no other gods before me and do not take my name in vain? Because the MP herself probably does not remember the commandments of her faith,” he wrote.
Maria Kurowska is the winner of the Climate Nonsense of the Year plebiscite
Maria Kurowska received the most votes from Internet users in the Climate Nonsense of the Year plebiscite. The MP is the third politician in a row to win this anti-award. She was nominated for her statement at a press conference, during which she stated that:
If there are zero emissions and there is no CO2 in the air, we will starve nature, because what will it use to develop?
According to the organizers’ comments, such “logic” might call into question the fact that plants might have lived on Earth before the industrial era. In addition to Kurowska, the nominees for the Climate Bullshit of the Year included Confederation MPs Krzysztof Bosak and Jacek Wilk.
