Within the framework of the commemoration of the Day of Social Fighters, the Heart of the Homeland Movement offered a press conference this Wednesday in order to publicize the activities to be carried out by this group of community servants.
Jhony Montilla, Coordinator of the Corazón de la Patria Movement, reported that one of the objectives is to vindicate the community social struggle in each space, take into account the community leaders of the Valera municipality, recognize and value their time in the collective social struggle of the municipality.
He noted that They were born as collectives 11 years ago, and later they gave themselves the name already structurally organized as the Movement of Social Fighters “Corazón de la Patria” with presence in all the parishes of the Valera municipality, aligned with the Bolivarian revolutionary process, led in the country by President Nicolás Maduro; regionally, Governor Gerardo Márquez and municipally, Angie Quintana.
Its main basis is the conceptualization of the late historical leader Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías related to social movements and organizations.
Montilla added that the birth of the Heart of the Homeland Movement occurred in 2019 through the municipal ordinance that governs them institutionally and specifies that the day of social fighters be celebrated every July 28.

In that sense I inform that for this Friday, October 25 at 10 am a special session will be held in the Municipal Council rooms where decorations will be presented to various social leaders who, after studying their profile and activities, and communal struggles according to the ordinance and under the discussion and analysis of the MCP board, it was agreed to award them according to the categories of Youth , corresponding in the Juan Ignacio Montilla parish to the social leader: Raquel Coromoto López Maldonado; Elderly to the wrestler Ramón Matos belonging to the Mercedes Díaz parish; Contemporary Adult, to the community communicator Gabriela Araujo and in the post-mortem line to Oswaldo Alexias Ramos, leader of the San Luis parish, who in life was the founder of the Community Peasant Market “Sowing to Grow”. Likewise, six awards per parish will be awarded to community fighters.
Goals
