LONDON (Archyde.com) – Britain’s weapons and tanks might be manufactured in Ukraine, The Telegraph reported on Thursday. This would reduce dependence on supplies from the West.

British defense industry executives visited Kyiv to discuss the possibility of setting up a joint venture to manufacture weapons and other equipment, the newspaper said.

It also said other European manufacturers were also in talks with Ukraine, with one source saying that “the UK is fighting for the lead”.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited London and Paris on the 8th and asked for additional supplies of Western weapons such as fighter planes and long-range weapons.

British Prime Minister Sunak told Zelensky that there was “no subject on the agenda”. Earlier, he announced that military training for Ukraine would be extended to the Air Force, “so that in the future the pilots will be able to fly NATO-standard high-performance fighter aircraft.”
