It was during an interview with Patrice Bélanger, for the show Sweety saltyWednesday, that the new mother, Maripier Morin confided in her return to public life.
It is indeed on the sidelines of the promotion surrounding the most recent film of Mariloupe Wolfe, Arlettethat the actress Maripier Morin spoke with the host of the popular summer show TVA. From the outset, the latter asked the actress some pretty salty questions referring to the allegations and denunciations that took place in July 2020.

Sober for several months already, Maripier Morin confided on the subject as well as on his expectations in the face of this return. She also opened up regarding the journey she continues to take towards sobriety; which is, according to her, “a full-time job”.
It is therefore with vulnerability and honesty that the actress has approached this subject which, obviously, makes her experience a lot of emotions.
“I’m not here either to rub in the face of the world that I am perfect and changed and invigorated,” she told Patrice Bélanger.
“I no longer think regarding using drugs and alcohol […] I have a good life, I’m privileged, but therein lies the suffering […] At the same time, it gives me access to a happiness that I had never known before,” she shared.
“I don’t want to convince anyone. This approach, I absolutely do not do it for others. I really do it for me, ”she replied when Patrice Bélanger addressed how she wanted to convince the public that she had changed.

Eventually, the actress broke down in tears as she mentioned her gratitude that her husband, comedian Jean-Philippe Perrasstayed by his side during these difficult times:
“My boyfriend might have decided to leave, but he stayed […] it’s for me and for them [sa famille] that I do, ”she said, her throat tight.
“I no longer live for myself. I live for her. And I want her to be proud of her mother, ”shared the actress, regarding her daughter Margot.

In the interview of Sweet Salté, she also opened up regarding the public’s opinion of her return as well as her problems with consumption:
“Sometimes I’ll read the comments on social media and people say ‘she’s apologizing for everything she’s done because of her drinking problem’, that doesn’t excuse them, but it explains them and it explains them. contextualize,” she said. “Everything I have done in consumption, I am responsible for my actions,” she added.

A little later in the show, director, mother and actress Mariloup Wolfe joined Patrice Bélanger and Maripier Morin to talk regarding Arlettehis next feature film, which will hit theaters across Quebec on August 5.
At the same time, she added to the fact that she did not regret her choice to have given the leading role to Maripier Morin, affirming that she is someone who “looks forward” while ensuring that Maripier is “exceptional” in the film.
