Mov Locadora, a company specializing in the rental of photographic and audiovisual equipment, aiming to support and promote the development of photojournalism and video reporting in the state of São Paulo, signed a partnership with ARFOC-SP (Association of Photographic and Cinematographic Reporters in the State from Sao Paulo). Under the agreement, ARFOC-SP members will have a wide variety of cameras, lenses, lighting and accessories at their disposal, at special prices and with an exclusive discount for members.

The partnership takes place once morest a backdrop of heating up of the audiovisual market in the country. According to PwC’s 23rd Global Entertainment and Media Survey, the segment will reach US$39.9 billion in revenue, with a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 5.7%, higher than global growth. This result is higher than that projected for the country in the previous study: 4.7% CAGR until 2025.

In 2021, the Entertainment and Media (E&M) industry recovered from the 2020 contraction to resume its growth trajectory, with revenues increasing at a whopping 10.4% rate. According to the survey, by 2026 the global E&M industry will reach US$ 3 trillion in revenue.

“The audiovisual sector in Brazil has grown significantly in recent years, driven by several factors, such as the increase in content consumption, the national production of quality films and series, tax incentives and the development of new technologies”, says Marcello Fim , director of ARFOC-SP.

For him, “partnerships are fundamental for the prosperity of any business”, especially in periods of crisis or economic recovery, such as the current post-pandemic moment. “The union of talents and resources broadens the scope of companies’ activities and enhances the power of their actions”, adds the professional.

Work in group

Marcello Fim points out that partnerships such as Mov and ARFOC-SP can contribute to the evolution of the market in the country, in addition to being an opportunity to provide equipment for professionals who are having difficulty acquiring or technically updating.

“The actions of associations in the audiovisual sector can be fundamental for the development and strengthening of the industry in Brazil. These associations have the role of representing and defending the interests of professionals and companies in the sector, in addition to promoting the exchange of knowledge, experiences and networking among members”, concludes the director.

“For Leandro Ferreira, CEO of the startup, being at the side and supporting associations makes Mov listen to the need at the end, and bring the best options for the photo and video professional.”
