Moussa Dadis Camara said he was sick on Monday, December 5, and was unable to appear, but this time he said he was ready “ to deliver one’s share of the truth ». « Do you feel better? first asked the president of the court straight away. Moussa Dadis Camara nods. In a large ocher, black and white striped boubou, thin glasses, the former head of the junta sits down and then launches into a long monologue. “ Dadis Camara is not crazy, Dadis Camara is generous, he is a sincere man “, he says, speaking of himself, regularly evoking his honor, God and the Bible. After a few digressions, quoting for example the philosophers Heraclitus and Emmanuel Kant, the former leader then gets to the heart of the matter and counterattacks.
And “ conspiracy »
For him, the events of September 28 were a “ conspiracy ». « A cleverly orchestrated plot to make me leave “, continues Moussa Dadis Camara. He cites three people by name: Alpha Condé, the ex-president overthrown in September 2021, Sekouba Konaté, the former president of the transition in 2010, and Aboubacar Sidiki Diakité, dit Toumbahis former aide-de-camp whom he had charged during his hearing, therefore accused by Moussa Dadis Camara of being the executor of the events.
« This plot was to make me unapproachable, to smear me in front of the international community “, assures the ex-leader, “ then Toumba was bamboozled to eliminate me “, he continues. While speaking, Moussa Dadis Camara turns his sheets, regularly raises his voice, sometimes makes the room laugh: “ take all your time “, told him the president of the court.
