Mouhamadi Youssouf, champion of France para wrestling adapted for the third time in the category less than 90 kilos

He is the epitome of resilience and determination. For the third consecutive year, the Mahoran Mouhamadi Youssouf has risen to the highest step of the podium of the French championship for adapted wrestling. The competition took place last weekend in Balaruc-Les-Bains in Hérault.

It was this Saturday, April 1 that Mouhamadi Youssouf, from Ouangani won his third gold medal. He competed in the French adapted para wrestling championship, in the category – 90 kilos. Four fights four wins. The reward for those who have worked hard since 2015. The year he discovered this sport.

From an early age I loved combat sports. When I arrived in Cherbourg, I was told that there was a club in the city, I never left it once more.

In 2016, he participated in his first competition and finished 4th. The sportsman perseveres and wins the years that will follow all the championships.

The man of 1 meter 73 and 84 kilos has had a motor disability since birth. He made this difference a strength.

My motto is positivity. In all circumstances. In Mayotte, unfortunately, people with disabilities tell themselves that their lives are over. On the contrary, they have the same possibilities as the able-bodied.

A message of hope and solidarity that the champion wishes to convey to all people who would be tempted to think that disability is inevitable.
