Motorola unveils the ThinkPhone, a pro model by Lenovo

Motorola ThinkPhone for the pros.

Acquired by Lenovo, Motorola continues to innovate. Taking advantage of CES 2013 in Las Vegas, the Chinese skilfully plays with the old American brands that he bought. It unveiled the ThinkPhone, designed to provide businesses with the same quality and reliability of Lenovo’s “Think brand” devices.

“For years, ThinkPads (a brand created by IBM) have been dedicated to solving the challenges faced by professionals through innovative technology, proven quality and responsive design. To celebrate this legacy, as Lenovo celebrates the 30th anniversary of ThinkPads, Motorola is thrilled to bring the ThinkPhone,” Lenovo said.

Cut for safety

This new smartphone is the result of a combination of Motorola’s mobile skills and Lenovo’s commitment to security solutions. This is equipment that integrates perfectly with a ThinkPad, such as the latest ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11, believes the Chinese group.

This device comes with Moto Secure, an app that acts as a hub for security and privacy related items. In combination with Moto OEMConfig or Moto Device Manager, IT admins can remotely configure Moto Secure features on ThinkPhones, from lock screen settings to network alerts to PIN scrambling, depending on a statement.

A robust Motorola/Lenovo

Additionally, the ThinkPhone comes with Moto KeySafe, a separate processor running Android, which adds an extra layer of security to better protect your most sensitive data. It isolates PINs, passwords and cryptographic keys, storing them in a tamper-proof environment, thus protecting the data from the inside.

In addition, this device is MIL-STD 810H1 certified. It features lightweight aramid fiber that’s stronger than steel, an aluminum frame, and Victus Gorilla Glass, so it easily withstands bumps and drops up to 1.25 meters. Thanks to the IP68 certification, this ThinkPhone resists immersion in water up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes.

Snapadragon 8+ Gen 1

To guarantee good aging, this smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. This ThinkPhone is obviously compatible with 5G and Wi-Fi 6E. Equipped with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, it boasts a large 6.6-inch FHD+ OLED display supporting 144Hz refresh rate.

The ThinkPhone comes with a 68W TurboPower universal charger that provides enough battery life for the day in minutes of charging. Finally, Motorola has integrated a 50 MP Ultra Pixel main camera which is meant to enable superior image quality during every video call, regardless of the lighting conditions.
