Motorola Moto G54 5G – Test in heavy games (PUBG, Genshin Impact, COD, etc)

2024-01-30 23:00:00

This is one of the cell phones that will become very popular in 2024 for the price it is offered. A Moto G in the 1000 to 1200 range, can we play with a Mediatek processor? Let’s find out.

In the Moto G54 we have a Mediatek Dimensity 7020 processor with 2 cores of 2.2 GHz and 6 cores of 2.0 GHz, an IMG BXM-8-256 GPU, versions of 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage or 8GB and 256GB of storage , the one we used in the test.

On the screen we have a 6.5″ inch IPS LCD display with FullHD resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz. Its battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh.

And its price today is around R$1,270.00. Your competitor for this test will be the Redmi Note 12s.

Moto G54 gaming test

Remembering that all games have been tested at least, so let’s get to the tests.

Arena Breakout

Starting with our very heavy Arena Breakout, we have a pleasant average that will run smoothly but unfortunately the cell phone ends up having to deal with throttling and ends up having some crashes. The G54 ran an average of 44 Frames with 57% stability and an autonomy of 4:35H. And as for the Note 12s, we don’t have tests on Arena, so that’s for next time. But for the G54 it is a ⚠️Selo Roda⚠️.

Free Fire

To play Free Fire, know that it will be smooth, here we had a great average running on the Moto G54 at 60 Frames and 97% stability and an autonomy of 6:55H. While on the Redmi Note 12s we have an average of 60 Frames, 100% stability and an autonomy of 3:35H. And in Free Fire the G54 will have one ✔️Village Smooth Wheel✔️.

PUBG

In PUBG we will run at a very similar stability but in terms of framerate, not so much. In the Moto G54 we reached the 45 Frames, with 100% stability and an autonomy of 5:50H. On the Redmi Note 12s, we reached 60 Frames, 100% stability and an autonomy of 3:05H. And once more we will have a ✔️Smooth Wheel Seal✔️ for our G54.

Farlight 84

In terms of battle royale, the results were exceptional and our beloved Farlight 84 is not left out of this. In G54 the results were 59 Frames with 98% stability and an autonomy of approximately 5:10H. And on the Redmi Note 12s we had an average of 89 Frames with 100% stability and a battery life of 3:25H. Here the G54 will only receive one ✔️Smooth Wheel Seal✔️ falling behind our competitor.

Call of Duty

And closing our list of battle royales, we have here our Cod Mobile that performed extraordinary with an average above even what we normally see on entry-level cell phones. In the G54 they were 60 Frames with 99% stability and an autonomy of 5:50H. While on the Redmi Note 12s we had 40 Frames, 100% stability and a battery life of 2:25H. ✔️Smooth Wheel Seal✔️ for Motorola.

Asphalt 9

And arriving on the tracks, Asphalt 9 ran with a few more frames than usual, this of course on the Motorola, because on our Xiaomi we had standard performance. In the G54 they were 37 Frames with 78% stability and a battery life of 4:55H. And on the Note 12s there were 30 frames on average with a stability of 99% and a battery life of 2:10H. ⚠️Selo Roda⚠️ for both.

CarX Street

And we arrive at the game where entry-level models come close to top-of-the-line performance, Carx is so poorly optimized on Android. In any case, on our Moto G54 we had a performance of 16 Frames with 82% stability and an autonomy of 5:20H.

And as for the tests on the Redmi Note 12s, we don’t have them on the CarX Street, so once once more you will be left out.

Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat

And to replace EFootball, we’ve put Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat in its place, perhaps for a while, depending on your feedback and suggestions. And because it is a recent exchange we do not have tests on the Redmi Note 12s, but on the Moto G54 the average was 60 Frames with 99% stability and a battery life of 5:50H. ✔️Smooth Wheel Seal✔️ for Motorola.

Genshin Impact

And in our Genshin Impact we have a great performance coming from an entry-level model, a really interesting performance in one of the heaviest games on mobile today. In the G54 they were 57 average frames and 96% stability with an autonomy of 5:05H. On Redmi, there were 43 Frames with 96% stability and a battery life of 4:45H. ✔️Smooth Wheel Seal✔️ for the G54.

Tower of Fantasy

The performance we had in Tower of Fantasy was also very good, with the Moto G54 performing very well, reaching an average of 54 Frames, with a stability of 79% and a battery life of 4:55H. And on the Note 12s we can expect an average of 43 Frames, a stability of 81% and a battery life of 3:35H.

So, once more ✔️Smooth Wheel Seal✔️ for the G54.

Mortal Kombat

And it is in one of the greatest fighting game sagas in existence, we have a disappointing result, let’s say in passing, compared to other games, what was expected for Mortal Kombat was to run with more frames on both cell phones, but it was not what it happened. In the G54 we had an average of 52 Frames with 99% stability and an autonomy of 4:55H. On the Redmi Note 12s, there were 58 Frames with a stability of 91% and an autonomy of 2:40H. Both will receive the ✔️Smooth Wheel Seal✔️.

Temperature

We arrived at the part where we took the Moto G54 and put it to play Call of Duty in battle royale mode for an hour, following which we checked the increase in temperature and the loss of battery due to the intense gameplay.

Initially we started with the cell phone 32 degrees and following 1 hour we had an increase of 7 degrees, reaching 39 degrees. It is worth mentioning that the heating is very noticeable during the game with the screen getting quite hot.

And of the 100% we started with, we ended up with 86% battery, having a total loss of 14%, being in a great average

Conclusion

We had a very fierce clash between smartphones with each one getting the better of specific games, but compared to autonomy we had the Redmi Note 12s taking a beating from the G54, which is comical considering that during the popularization of the brands Chinese brands what was always highlighted was the long life of their batteries, making Western brands force themselves to improve and this was done with Moto G54 which became one of the best entry-level models for games.
