Still in December last year, Motorola revealed the Moto G Play 2023. Now, at “45 minutes of the second half” of 2023, when the G Play line seemed like it wouldn’t get an update, new rumors indicate that it might be more close to what we imagined.
Thanks to alleged leaks published by portals OnLeaks e SMARTmaniawe can now take a look at all angles of what might be the new Moto G Play 2024; and if this is indeed the successor to the previous version, it should bring some significant changes.
If the images are real, while the front part shouldn’t undergo major changes, with a screen surrounded by thick edges and a front camera arranged in a hole, we can’t say the same regarding the back.
Unlike the 3 rear cameras present in last year’s version, the Moto G Play 2024 may have just one lens on the back. The second hole, it seems, is reserved for the device’s LED flash.
The sides of the device should also get a new design, adopting a straighter style, without many curves between the ends of the front and the ends of the back.
In addition to the visual changes, everything indicates that we will also have new features in the technical specifications.
Instead of betting on a MediaTek chipset, as in the previous version, the still unreleased G Play 2024 should bring with it a chipset Snapdragon, da Qualcomm. However, we still don’t know exactly which model, which doesn’t give us any clues as to whether or not the device will support a 5G connection.
The device should also come with Android 13, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, with the option for expansion via card. In terms of energy, we should see a 5,000 mAh battery with charging support of up to 15W.
According to the leaks, the device’s screen will be LCD, measuring 6.5 inches, FullHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.

Although there is still no confirmed date for the launch of the new device, everything indicates that it should be announced in some markets next month for something around U$$ 169which in direct conversion would be the equivalent of R$820.
In addition to the Saphire Blue color (in the images), the Moto G Play 2024 should also be announced in several other colors.
