A Motorola announced something new for its customers. It is a credit cardwhich can only be used by owners of the brand’s cell phones and comes as another option in the financial segment in addition to Dimo, the digital account launched by it at the end of 2022 and which has 1.5 million people registered.

This number of people moved around R$600 million. Therefore, the brand hopes to increase this number to almost R$2 billion with the new feature, in addition to growing the number of registrations to 4.5 million in 1 year. Renato Arradi is the company’s director of digital services and commented:

The application comes with the phone and has a different proposal from Samsung and Apple. It’s not a ‘wallet’ [carteira digital]. We don’t want people to bring another card and just put it in the app to use. We want to offer a complete solution.

In short, the card can be issued without credit analysis and in relation to the limit, the customer can choose the amount himself, despite one caveat. In this sense, the user must make an investment in the CDB with amounts between R$50 and R$20 thousand. This value becomes the limit and the investment yields 106% of the CDI, in addition to having daily liquidity and free annual fees.

Furthermore, the person can be entitled to 1% cashback on purchases made with the item, in addition to getting a 20% discount on the purchase of 5G cell phones at the Motorola store, 20% discount on Moto Protection insurance. As with the Dimo account, it will also be possible to compete in weekly draws for a Motorola Edge.
