After several rumors and leaks, Motorola made the Edge 40 Neo official in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It arrives as the third model in the Motorola Edge 40 line, made up of a standard variant and the Motorola Edge 40 Pro.
In terms of specifications, the set promises to offer good performance and excellent value for money, being slightly below its brothers in terms of power. Like the standard model, it opts for a MediaTek platform, while the Pro variant uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

In terms of design, the black version has an acrylic back, while the other models have a vegan leather finish, making them thicker and thicker. The premium construction provides a unique touch and firm grip, in addition to being IP68 certified for greater resistance to water and dust.
The mid-range is available in Pantone colors Black Beauty, Caneel Bay and Soothing Sea. The company reinforces its commitment to sustainability and says that the packaging is plastic-free, containing 60% recyclable materials.

Under the hood, the cell phone features MediaTek’s Dimensity 7030 platform with 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. In terms of the operating system, it comes standard with Android 13 under the MyUX interface, bringing support for Moto Connect and Ready For.
In terms of photography, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo has a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32-megapixel punch-hole camera.
For power, there is a 5,000 mAh battery unit with support for 68W TurboPower charging, going from 0 to 50% in just 15 minutes. Other features include a digital reader integrated into the display and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
In connectivity, the Motorola Edge Neo 40 features 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz, USB-C port, GPS, A- GPS, LTEPP, Glonass and Galileo.

The Motorola Edge 40 Neo can now be purchased for €399 (~R$ 2.100). So far, there is no information regarding availability in Brazil.
