Motorola Edge 40 has new leaked renderings

Last Tuesday (04), the Motorola announced the Edge 40 Proits new flagship with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Now, it seems that the American manufacturer is preparing to announce the Edge 40, more “basic” version of the model. This device was the subject of a new leak that shared a series of images showing its complete design, noting that there will be four color options available on the market.

Cores do Edge 40

The images, released by the renowned Roland Quandt [1 e 2]show that the Edge 40 will have a construction similar to that of the Edge 40 Prowith a module at the rear to house the cameras and dual LED flash.

According to the renderings, the next premium intermediary from Motorola can reach the market with four color options: Nebula Green, Lunar Blue, Eclipse Black and Viva Magenta — the latter was implemented in the Edge 30 Fusion.

What to expect from the Edge 40

O Edge 40 should be launched with a 6.55-inch pOLED display with Full HD + resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate, HDR10 + and 1,200 nits of maximum brightness.

Inside, a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor is expected, combined with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, but without the possibility of expansion.

Unlike the Pro version, this smartphone can bring “only” two cameras: the main 50-megapixel camera with optical stabilization; and a 13-megapixel wide-angle secondary with a 120-degree field of view. The front sensor is 32 megapixels.

The battery adds up to 4,400 mAh with support for fast charging of 68 watts and wireless charging of 15 watts. The device should also hit the market with certification for water resistance and Android 13.

Possible price and release date

A Motorola still hasn’t announced the release date of the Edge 40, but there is a possibility that it will be made official in Europe soon for 600 euros (R$ 3,306). Let’s wait for more information to confirm (or not) all of this.
