Bowlers had quite a surprise on Thursday when a thud that was not attributable to a smashing strike was heard during a game.
It is that a motorist literally smashed the front of the bowling alley on rue Louis-IX, in the Loretteville sector, at noon.

Authorities say the middle-aged man behind the wheel made the wrong move, causing a commotion at the sports complex.
One person inside the facility sustained minor leg injuries, but no ambulance transport was required. The driver and his passenger were not injured in the crash.

The entire bowling alley was evacuated to allow building structural engineers to assess the damage to the building.
