He knocks down an octogenarian, advances and hits his wife

An improbable accident, but with serious consequences, took place early Wednesday evening in Avignon. A motorist accidentally hit an octogenarian. Then he does the same with his wife.
Wanting to maneuver, the driver did not see in his rear view mirror that an 80-year-old pedestrian was behind his vehicle. He backed up and knocked him down.
The motorist then moved forward and this time hit the wife of the 80-year-old man, also in her 80s. The unfortunate woman found herself on the hood of the car and was dragged a few meters, relates “The Dauphine”.
The man is only slightly injured. His wife, on the other hand, is seriously affected and was transferred to the hospital center of Avignon in “absolute emergency”.
An investigation has been opened to determine the exact causes of the accident.
