Motorcycle driver Umar Ali, 23, was seriously injured in a traffic accident that occurred in Famagusta last night. The driver of the vehicle that hit Ali was arrested.
According to the statement made by the Police Press Officer, Shamuhammet Berdıgylyjov (E-22), who was driving in the RL 026 saloon vehicle, which was driving in the east direction on the unnamed road within the Eastern Mediterranean University campus area, at around 23:00, came to the circle in front of the Faculty of Business Administration. He reluctantly entered the circle without giving priority.
With his Berdıgylyjov vehicle, he crashed into a motorcycle with license plate number UG 538 under the direction of Umar Ali (E-23), which was traveling in the north direction on the circle at that time.
Motorcyclist Umar Ali, who was seriously injured as a result of the accident, was taken under observation in the Neurology Service with the diagnosis of cerebral hemorrhage in Famagusta State Hospital, where he was taken.
Shamuhammet Berdıgylyjov, the driver of the vehicle with license plate RL 026, was arrested. The investigation continues.
