The vegetation cushioned her fall somewhat. The woman was with a group of bikers who immediately raised the alarm. After receiving first aid, she was taken to the hospital in Bassano del Grappa, media reported.
The rescue personnel had to be secured with ropes in order to be able to reach the injured person. She was placed on a sled stretcher and lowered a further 50 meters to the road where an ambulance was waiting.
Further details about the woman’s condition and her origins in Austria are not yet known.
