The police on Wednesday arrested a motorcyclist who was driving at breakneck speed in the ring of Geel (R14). Its highest measured speed was 223 km/h. The man was also driving under the influence of cocaine.
The maximum authorized speed on the R14 is 90 km/h but the motorcyclist had obviously “forgotten” it. At the sight of the police, he initially tried to flee and he also rebelled during his arrest.
The driver’s license was withdrawn and his motorcycle was seized. A test also revealed that he was driving under the influence of cocaine.
