Shortly before 7 p.m., the 22-year-old was riding his motorcycle on Leonfeldner Straße B126 in the municipality of Hellmonsödt from Glasau towards Linz. In a left-hand bend he crashed the motorcycle head-on into the guard rail. The impact caused the driver to fall over the guardrail down the adjacent embankment and come to rest in the meadow regarding 15 meters further down. The man was given first aid by the rescue team and the emergency doctor. The Hellmonsödt and Kirchschlag volunteer fire departments supported the rescue workers in rescuing the injured man over the embankment. He was admitted to the UKH Linz.
