Pecco Bagnaia was scared but will finally start on the front row following setting the second fastest time in qualifying, behind Maverick Vinales. Jorge Martin will start from fifth position.
The race for the crown continues to play with suspense in MotoGP. For this last weekend of the championship, in Valencia, Jorge Martin thought he was playing a nasty trick on Pecco Bagnaia, the championship leader. But the Italian ultimately did well.
Not in the top ten at the end of free practice, Bagnaia had to qualify for Q2 via Q1. The Italian managed the pressure well and achieved the best time, ahead of Alex Marquezthe other qualified for Q2.
In Q2, Jorge Martin was among the best times for a long time while Pecco Bagnaia was in the tough, at the bottom of the table.
Pecco Bagnaia therefore had a stressful start to the weekend but was finally reassured since he set the second time, less than a tenth from the poleman, Maverick Vinales who broke the circuit record. Jorge Martin, on the contrary, carried out the wrong operation since he fell in the ranking at the end of the session and will only start sixth while he must regain points in Bagnaia to still hope to win the world champion title.
The sprint race will be followed this followingnoon on RTBF from 2:45 p.m.
