MotoGP Spain GP: Aleix Espargaro top time on first day[F1-Gate .com]

The free run of the 2022 MotoGP Round 9 Catalunya GP took place on Friday, June 3rd at the Barcelona-Catalonia circuit, with Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia) marking the top time.

Both males of Aprilia Racing made a leap in dry conditions with a temperature of 28 degrees and a road surface temperature of 54 degrees. Aleix Espargaro, who was 4th in free practice 1, lapped 19 laps and set the 6th top time of the season. Following the previous race in the Italian Grand Prix, he jumped out to 1st overall on the first day of the second consecutive race.

Maverick Viñales, who was 2nd in free practice 1, lapped 19 laps and advanced to 2nd with a 0.303 second difference.

Takaaki Nakagami, who was 6th in free practice 1, lapped 19 laps and was 12th with a 0.854 second difference. Alex Marquez, who was 7th in free practice 1, was 18th, 1.383 seconds behind. Stefan Bradl, who was 23rd in free practice 1, was 23rd on the 11th lap following suffering a fourth fall this season.

Brad Binder rises from 15th to 6th
