Announced in mid-January this year as Motorola’s new entry-level cell phone, the Moto G Play 2024 underwent a durability test and dismantling. The experiments were published on video this Wednesday (28), on the channel JerryRigEverything.

The basic smartphone faced scratches, fire and curvature, to see if it has good resistance, and even had its internal parts exposed, in the so-called teardown. You can check the results in the player below:

As you can see, the device only started to show scratches on its screen following the tool’s hardness level 6. On the other hand, the sides and back came off easily, due to the plastic material.

When exposed to a lit lighter, the display needed just nine seconds to start showing a black spot, which was later recovered. In the curvature, even with a simple structure, the Motorola device managed to survive without having any cracks.

When we moved on to dismantling, the highlights were the lack of protection once morest water on the speaker and the difficulty in removing the battery. O teardown It also showed the presence of thermal protection below the motherboard, to prevent overheating.

So far, the Moto G Play 2024 is only available in the United States and Canada. There is no forecast for arrival in other markets.
