Because she could no longer be reached, the police were called on Monday. The 41-year-old, who lived with her family in Wagna (Leibnitz district), found her dead in the house.
An autopsy revealed that the mother of four may have died from violence. The investigation leads towards a suspicion of murder. A witness is being sought, the State Police Directorate confirmed. The 24-year-old, a family member, is currently not an urgent suspect.
“There are indications of violence, so the investigation is aimed at murder,” said a spokesman for the Kleine Zeitung. The woman came from Syria and lived in Austria.
