The events of Case No. 8619 of 2023 Faqus Center Felony, registered under No. 844 of 2023 in North Zagazig, date back to when the Public Prosecution decided to refer the accused Hanaa Muhammad Hassan, 37 years old, a housewife, residing in Faqus Center, to criminal trial in the Zagazig Criminal Court. The accused was alone with the victim, taking advantage of his reassurance towards her and his calmness in her presence, so she ignored him and rained three blows on his head with the stick, intending to take his life, causing the injury described in the anatomical report, which claimed his life. In order to hide the impact of her crime and so that her matter would not be exposed, she cut his body into pieces, tore the flesh from the bone, and dissolved the entrails. Some of the body parts were cooked to hide their features, and she ate parts of them. Before her family caught her red-handed, she collected the remaining body parts and bones and hid them in a bucket until she discovered her crime, as stated in the investigations.
