Central- Future Bloc member MP Muhammad Al-Hajjar affirmed that “the draft Capital Control Law should have been approved two and a half years ago.”
In an interview with “Voice of All Lebanon”, Hajjar stressed “the necessity of approving it, because it preserves the remaining funds in the Banque du Liban and depositors’ money before it evaporates due to the financial practice followed for two and a half years until today.”
Referring to the great losses that occurred, Al-Hajjar pointed out that “there is ready to discuss all the provisions of the Capital Control Bill, away from any populist bids ahead of the parliamentary elections.”
Al-Hajjar believed that “the majority of the forces in the current parliament do not want the approval of “Capital Control” and are only interested in their electoral interests.”
