And the authorities of the city of Petersburg, in northern Russia, announced that the city’s Pulkovo civil airport does not receive or take off from it temporarily, without specifying the reasons.
According to the Flightradar service, civil aircraft did not approach the city of Petersburg, and it was announced that the planes heading from Moscow to Petersburg would return to Moscow, and the airspace over the city was completely closed, and Pulkovo Airport did not accept any flights, while there were reports of delays in flights for up to to 12 hours. It was later reported that the movement had returned to normal.
Some media outlets in the city reported that the fighter jets took off over the city, and no official information has been issued in this regard yet.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry accused Washington of planning provocations in Ukraine using toxic chemical weapons.
