Mortal Kombat 1 reveals trailer of Takeda as a new fighter

WB Games launched today a new gameplay trailer Mortal Kombat 1 DLC highlights Takeda Takahashi, the newest DLC fighter, who will join the main roster on July 23 as part of the early access period for Kombat Pack owners, followed by wide availability on July 30.

Additionally, Ferra, a new Kameo Fighter DLC that can assist during fights with a variety of support moves, will be available to Kombat Pack owners and will be available for standalone purchase starting July 23.

But… Who is Takeda Takahashi in Mortal Kombat 1?

Like his cousin Kenshi, Takeda Takahashi is a Yakuza. But unlike him, Takeda enjoyed this lifestyle. That is why he was chosen to put an end to Kenshi’s crusade once morest his masters. The fight mortally wounded Takeda. Unwilling to let his cousin die, Kenshi quickly brought him to the nearest help: the Shirai Ryu. Even following Takeda was healed, Kenshi did not release him because he feared the Yakuza might kill him for failing his mission. Takeda resisted, attempting to escape repeatedly.

But as the months passed, he began to appreciate the Shirai Ryu’s selfless commitment to Earthrealm, in contrast to his past lifestyle.

In the new video, Takeda’s Shirai Ryu-inspired moveset is shown in detail, including his ability to use jagged whips to pull and throw opponents, his utilization of explosive kunai projectiles to extend combos, and his mastery of teleportation to attack opponents from behind.

In case you’re dying to check out Takeda and Ferra, both characters will be playable for the first time prior to their release at the Evolution Championship Series (Evo) fighting game tournament in Las Vegas from July 19-21. This opportunity will be available exclusively to event attendees and will take place inside the Mortal Kombat 1 booth in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
