Mortada Mansour denies suspending Mahmoud Alaa until the end of the season

Mortada Mansour, president of Zamalek club, denied banning Mahmoud Alaa, the team’s defender, until the end of the season, for what he had done to his club’s fans during the Wydad match.

And the president of Zamalek said in an official statement that no other penalties were issued, other than what he announced yesterday evening following the Moroccan Wydad match.

Mortada Mansour had announced the non-renewal of the Moroccan Ashraf bin Sharqi and his compatriot Muhammad Onajem, Tariq Hamed, Muhammad Abu Jabal and Omar Al-Saeed, the players of the team whose contracts expire at the end of the season, Saif Al-Din Al-Jaziri offered for sale.

The president of Zamalek signed a fine of 200,000 pounds on Mahmoud Alaa for insulting the fans, suspending all team dues until the end of the season, and relying on some of the 2003 team players to complete the league competition.

Zamalek lost to Wydad Casablanca with a clean goal in the fourth round of the group stage of the African Champions League, which worsened its position.
