Morocco’s absence from CHAN examined by CAF judicial body

The CHAN Organizing Committee has decided that Group C, which included Morocco, will consist of only three teams. She also seized the competent judicial body of CAF about the absence of Morocco from the competition.

In a communiqué published on the evening of January 16, CAF announces that “the Organizing Committee for the African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) TotalEnergies Algeria 2022 met today in Algiers in accordance with the competition rules”.

“On this occasion, it was decided that Group C will consist of three teams, with the direct consequence of qualifying the first two teams for the knockout phase”

“The CHAN Organizing Committee has also seized the competent judicial body of CAF regarding Morocco’s absence from the match scheduled for yesterday in Constantine against Sudan.”
