Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip continue for the 31st consecutive day, leaving thousands of martyrs, leaving everyone wondering regarding the future of relations between Israel and Morocco.
Regarding this aspect – relations between Morocco and Israel – Mohamed Tayyar, Moroccan security expert, affirms that Morocco’s situation differs from that of Bahrain and the Emirates in its relationship with Israel, the Kingdom having resumed its relations with Israel which had been suspended for some time, and also signed a tripartite agreement that includes Washington, Israel and Morocco, meaning it commits to two parties.
The expert stressed that numerous agreements link Morocco to Israel, the most important being those concerning the location of military industries, in addition to the presence of a million Moroccans with Israeli citizenship.
Tayyar emphasizes that these relations have not prevented Morocco from playing its role in the Palestinian question and from insisting on the Palestinian right to create its state.
According to the Moroccan expert, Morocco has always condemned Israeli operations once morest the Palestinians and also makes a distinction between Netanyahu’s extremist policies and his relations with institutions, governed by agreements.
