Rabat – The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, received, on Monday in Rabat, Roshni Nadar, president of HCL Tech, a world-renowned Indian group which has selected Morocco for the establishment of its new Delivery Center specializing in technical support and software engineering to serve its global customers.
On the occasion of her visit to Morocco, Ms. Nadar, President of HCL Tech, Mohcine Jazouli, Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, and Ghita Mezzour, Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform will proceed to the inauguration of the HCL Tech Delivery Center at Technopolis Rabat, indicates a press release from the Head of Government’s department.
This investment allowing the creation of more than 1,000 highly qualified jobs endorses the negotiation process started in 2021 and formalized by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in 2022, underlines the same source, specifying, moreover, that it strengthens the Moroccan outsourcing sector, particularly in the field of coding, software and IT services.
“Driven by the enlightened vision of HM King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, the Kingdom has resolutely embarked on a digital transition in order to breathe new life into national socio-economic development”, notes the press release.
“We enthusiastically welcome HCL Tech to Morocco, convinced that their presence will be a powerful engine of growth in the information technology and outsourcing sector, opening up many opportunities for our talented young people. This strategic investment by HCL Tech further strengthens the deep-rooted economic and cultural ties between India and Morocco,” Mr. Jazouli said on this occasion.
