This improvement, at the end of June 2022, stems in particular from the increase in the production of the National Office for Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) by 31.6% and that of renewable energies relating to the law 13-09 by 10%, mitigated by the withdrawal of private production by 4.7%, specifies the DEPF in its economic note of August 2022. Compared to the same period of the pre-crisis year (2019) , the production of electrical energy continues to rise: +3% at the end of June, following +1.7% at the end of March 2022 and -0.1% at the end of June 2021, adds the same source. As for net called production, it appreciated by 5.6% at the end of June 2022, following +6.9% a year earlier. Also, the volume of imported energy increased by 161.3% (following -26.9%). As for the exported volume, it decreased by 18.5% (following +51.3%). With regard to the consumption of electrical energy, its growth accelerated in the second quarter of 2022, amounting to +7.6% following +2.2% in Q1-2022. This increase is attributable to the firming up of energy sales sent to distributors by 6.2% (following +0.9%), those of medium voltage by 7.5% (following +7.8%) and those of of “Very high and high voltage”, used mainly by the manufacturing sector, by 10.8% (following -4.5%) as well as those intended for households by 9% (following +1.7%).
Compared to the same quarter of 2019, the consumption of electrical energy increased by 9.8%, following +4.3% a quarter earlier, said the DEPF. At the end of the first half of 2022, the consumption of electrical energy appreciated in one year by 4.9%, following +7.4% a year earlier, covering an increase in energy sales of “Very high , High and Medium Voltage, excluding distributors” by 6.3%, those sent to distributors by 3.6% and those to households by 5.5%. Compared to the end of June 2019, the consumption of electrical energy increased by 7.1%.
