Concluded during the roadshow organized by the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE) and led by the Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence and the Evaluation of Public Policies, Mohcine JAZOULI, and by the Managing Director of AMDIE, Ali SEDDIKI, this agreement comes within the framework of the promotion of Morocco’s offer and the strengthening of Chinese investments in the automotive sector.
This partnership was signed between Ali SEDDIKI, Managing Director of AMDIE, Tong FEI, Trade Director of the Economic Development Zone of Wuhan, Amine LAHMAMSI, Managing Director of BANK OF AFRICA SHANGHAI, and Zoe ZHANG, Secretary General of the International Federation of Chinese Entrepreneurs.
The parties have agreed to join their efforts to attract Chinese investors wishing to set up in Morocco, through the regular exchange of information on existing projects and investment opportunities from China.
The objective is to establish a competitive commercial platform in the medium term to facilitate trade and exports in the automotive sector and the long-term establishment of an electric vehicle factory in Morocco.
Through this partnership, BANK OF AFRICA confirms its support for projects with an international dimension and further strengthens its particular support for Chinese investments in Morocco by putting its expertise to the benefit of its partners. For its part, AMDIE is strengthening its mechanism for attracting and supporting Chinese investors.
