Vigilance is more important than ever in the Kingdom, especially during this period of high heat. After the tragic forest fire in M’diq-Fnideq which recently claimed the lives of three members of the Civil Protection, other fires have broken out in recent hours, putting a strain on them intervention teamssupported by various materials and land and air equipment, in order to overcome the flames.
As our colleagues in Le Matin report, a fire broke out on Monday August 22 in Ifrane, in the forest of Lkoudiate (see videos). In addition to the ground response teams, two Canadair-type water bombers were needed to contain the fire.
Civil Protection had a lot to do on Monday, August 22, insofar as another fire also broke out in an oasis located in the Commune of Tamanart, in the province of Tata. The fire started around 10 a.m. and spread over an area of regarding 20 hectares of palm trees

Three other forest fires, having taken place in Taounate, Al Hoceima and Chefchaouen, also mobilized numerous intervention teams. First in the commune of Mazraoua in the region of Taounate, 45 hectares of trees went up in smoke on Sunday August 21 in the followingnoon. To contain the fire, it took seven tankers, as well as two Canadair planes.
Still according to our colleagues in Le Matin, the most significant source of fire takes place in the town of Fifi, in the province of Chefchaouen. The intervention teams had a lot to do; Ditto for those who came to the end of the flames of the Ghandrou forest in Al Hoceima, a fire which broke out on Friday August 19th.
Research is currently being carried out by all the local authorities and by the security services concerned to determine the causes and circumstances of all these fires. Note that no human loss is to be deplored.
