The Kingdom experienced significant progress, climbing 12 places compared to the previous 2021 ranking. This improvement places it among the seven countries that recorded the best progress in the index, alongside major global economies such as Singapore and the Canada.
In Africa, Morocco ranks behind Egypt (23rd in the world). In the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Morocco ranks 4th behind the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Turkey.
Les experts du GSLI highlight that Morocco’s competitiveness in terms of costs, its qualified and multilingual workforce, as well as the strengthening of digital skills, have contributed to attracting investments in the outsourcing sector.
The outsourcing sector in Morocco, which has 1,200 companies, is growing strongly. According to the Ministry of Digital Transition, it generated a service export turnover of 15.7 billion dirhams in 2022, creating nearly 130,000 jobs. The government plans to invest millions of additional dollars in this sector to create around 5,000 new jobs by the end of 2026.
