Moroccan reports: Enough delegation visits Mohammed V Stadium

Moroccan press reports denied what is being reported regarding the transfer of the African Champions League final between Al-Ahly and Wydad to the Moroccan capital, Rabat, instead of Casablanca.

And the Moroccan newspaper “Al-Mukhtab” indicated that a committee of the Confederation of African Football “CAF” will pay a special visit to the Mohammed V compound in Casablanca to make the arrangements for the final and also to stand at the most important facilities that will be at the disposal of CAF.

She pointed out that this visit comes to confirm that the final of the African Champions League will be played in Casablanca, at the Mohammed V complex, and not in the capital, Rabat.

Earlier, a source within the Confederation of African Football revealed that there is a tendency to hold the final of the African Champions League this year in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, instead of the Mohammed V complex in Casablanca, “Casablanca”.

The source explained, in exclusive statements to Laila Koura, that CAF is considering holding the African Champions League final between Al-Ahly and Moroccan Wydad in the Prince Moulay Abdallah Sports Complex in the capital, Rabat.

Al-Ahly reached the final of the African Champions League following drawing 2-2 with its host ES Setif of Algeria in the second leg of the semi-finals at the “July 5” stadium on Saturday evening.

Al-Ahly will meet in the final match, on May 30, with the Moroccan Wydad team, which defeated Angolan Petro Atlético in the aggregate of the first and second legs, 4-2.

It is noteworthy that there are 6 approved stadiums in Morocco, most notably the Mohammed V complex in Casablanca, Moulay Abdallah Stadium in Rabat, a stadium in Marrakesh and a stadium in Agadir.
