Moroccan gastronomy shines with a thousand flavors during the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) which take place in Washington from October 10 to 16.

Ministers of Finance and Governors of Central Banks from 189 countries as well as representatives of the private sector, NGOs and academia were able to discover the variety of dishes and delicacies of Moroccan cuisine.

As part of the promotion actions of Morocco, host country of the next annual meetings which will take place in Marrakech in October 2023, these days dedicated to the Moroccan culinary art, notably through buffets and tasting sessions accompanied by the emblematic ceremony of tea, were organized at the headquarters of the two international institutions in the heart of the American federal capital.

The participants in this international conclave were able to appreciate the richness and diversity of Moroccan gastronomy.

At the headquarters of the IMF, Moroccan craftsmanship was also honored through a pavilion made by the Maison de l’artisan over an area of ​​125 m2. It includes spaces that reflect the richness and diversity of the facets of Moroccan craftsmanship, animated by artisans at work in weaving and leather goods, a calligrapher, a henna tattoo artist, in addition to an exhibition of carpets and Moroccan outfits. , and a space selling handicrafts.

A collective exhibition bringing together nineteen Moroccan photographers and videographers also gives a glimpse of Morocco in motion through images of urban sites releasing an unprecedented instinct of movement.

The works on display invite visitors on a visual journey to the new Morocco, its people and its unique landscapes.

These promotional actions aim to highlight the tourist, cultural and economic assets of a thousand-year-old Kingdom.
