Two Moroccan diplomats stationed in Colombia were suspended from their duties after suffer a robbery at the hands of two women they met on a dating app, a diplomatic source in Rabat told AFP.
These officials, an accountant and a counselor, were summoned to appear before the disciplinary council for damage the image of the Ministry of Foreign Affairsdetailed this source to AFP.
A judicial investigation was opened on both of them that could definitively relegate them from their duties.
The City TV channel indicated on Thursday, citing a police officer, that “three Moroccan diplomats were victims of robbery through toxic substances.
On Friday, the Moroccan Foreign Ministry mentioned only two members of its delegation in Colombia as robbery victims.
Moroccan officials had contacted two women through a dating app and They were taken to their apartment, where the robbery took place.
“These women apparently stole two cell phones and a tablet from these foreign citizensA police official confirmed to City TV.
The men would be being evaluated, according to this person in charge, to verify if they were victims of the use of any substance.
According to the Colombian authorities, quoted by City TV, the two women were identified.
