Morena will expel two deputies from Coahuila for supporting Mejía Berdeja

The Morena leadership asked deputies Javier Cortés Gómez and Francisca Aguilar Tabares to separate from office and now they are being asked to declare themselves independent, for supporting the aspirations of Ricardo Mejía Berdeja for the governorship of Coahuila representing the PTwhen they should support Armando Guadiana Tijerina.

Thus, Morena would be left with only two positions in the State Congress, following they were notified of their separation from the party, due to their open support for Mejía Berdeja, without representing the interests of the Fourth Transformation.

Lizbeth Ogazón Nava, Morenista deputy, emphasized that out of dignity they should have already submitted their resignation: “Our party has already notified them of the removal from office, but they have the right to appeal this instance and if they have a way to prove that they did not raise their hand to a candidate from another party, then go ahead.”

“I think they should declare themselves as deputies without a party, which is the figure that this legislative body provides for because in our political party there is already a process of expulsion of both ”, reported.

If so, only Ogazón Nava and Teresa Meraz García, the coordinator of the Morena Parliamentary Group in the local Congress, would remain.

“For dignity, they should already present their resignation,” because Cortez Gómez and Aguilar Tabares have maintained their support for the political aspirations of Mejía Berdeja.
