Morena “was hurt” by the proposal

PUEBLA (El Universal).— The presidential candidate of the Fuerza y Corazón por México coalition, Xóchitl Gálvez Ruiz, denied that she had maliciously used the logo of the National Electoral Institute (INE) in her campaign proposal against electoral manipulation of social programs .

In an interview, he stated that there was an “overreaction” to his approach for the INE to carry out a campaign to clarify that social programs are not subject to the results of the elections.

Xóchitl Gálvez insisted that Morena threatens people with the loss of their social support if they vote for the opposition and regretted that the Institute’s advisors have discredited his approach, since, he said, he did so in good faith.

“It is obvious that the overreaction is very clear because it hurt Morena, because it is their only tool with which they are threatening people, telling them that they are going to take away their social programs, the only thing I would say to the counselors, that I respect them a lot, but I wish they would fight with that vehemence the use of social programs to coerce the vote.”

“I want to tell the INE that I never acted in bad faith, there was already a campaign by the INE against the use of social programs. In the past the INE carried out these campaigns,” he recalled.

The presidential candidate clarified that she did not order billboards to be made with the INE logo, but rather created the images she published on social networks with artificial intelligence.
