Tuxtepec.- Alberto Antonio Garcíatreasurer and Morena candidate to the Municipal Presidency of San José Independencia, was murdered, while his wife, Cancino Agarcurrent mayor, was released following two days of being missing, confirmed to the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Oaxaca (FGEO).

Alberto Antonio García had been confirmed as a candidate on February 27 by the Morenista state leadership and was preparing his campaign and the form that would accompany him, until his disappearance was confirmed by the prosecutor’s office yesterday.

After the statement issued by the Oaxacan Prosecutor’s Office indicating his disappearance, public security sources from the municipality of Tuxtepec reported an operation in the vicinity of Mancilla and Roberto Colorado streets in the central area of ​​Tuxtepec where there was allegedly a safe house related to probable kidnapping of the mayor and her husband.
