BEIRUT (EFE).— At least 26 people died and another 144 were injured in the last day by the Israeli attacks at different points in Lebanonaccording to the balance offered yesterday Saturday by the Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry of Public Health Lebanese.

The ministry reported in a statement published in X that there were 17 “martyrs” (deceased) and 62 wounded in southern Lebanon.

It also reported that there were three dead and 41 wounded in Nabatieh, about 73 kilometers south of Beirut, one dead and 22 wounded in Baalbek, about 86 kilometers east of Beirut, and five dead and 19 wounded in Hermel, about 143 kilometers away. kilometers north of the Lebanese capital.

“There are 2,255 martyrs and 10,524 wounded since the beginning of the aggression.” These are new attacks against the capital of the Mediterranean country.

The mission of the HIM in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL) reported that one of its soldiers was injured “by gunfire” at its headquarters in Naqoura (south), bringing to five the number of blue helmets injured in incidents in three days, attributed to Israel.

In a statement on its X account, UNIFIL said the new incident occurred on Friday night when “a peacekeeper soldier who was at the headquarters in Naqoura was hit by gunfire due to military activity that “was taking place in the vicinity.”

He explained that the injured blue helmet, whose nationality has not been specified, “was subjected to surgery at our hospital in Naqoura to remove the bullet and is currently stable,” and stressed that “we still do not know the origin of the fire.”
