The outskirts of the municipalities of Viana, Cacuaco, Cazenga and Belas are some of the areas with the highest records of cases of self-justice that have already claimed the lives of several citizens and left others with serious injuries. The Police say they continue to work to put an end to the practice, while the jurist warns of heavy penalties for those involved in crimes at their own hands
The recent record of the case of gospel musician Caleb, whose life was interrupted last week when, in an attempt to collect a debt, he was savagely murdered by the population, using blunt objects, is worrying the authorities and other segments of society civil. However, just like Caleb, dozens of lives were lost because they might not resist the gratuitous beatings of an angry population that does not wait for justice from the authorities and prefers to act in its own way.

Joaquim Mário, taxi driver and resident of the area, said that the young woman was leaving school when, at one of the neighborhood’s points, she was stopped by the alleged criminal who ripped the thread from her neck, and then tried to escape, but without success, because was caught by the population.
Afterwards, tired of frequent robberies in the area, residents preferred to take action rather than take the alleged criminal to a nearby police unit. “It was a lot of beating that he lost consciousness. The population only left him following seeing that the criminal was no longer reacting.
